What is an Ellepot?  

An Ellepot is a degradable, environmentally friendly paper pot, there are various sizes and paper types developed to give the plant optimum growing conditions. The Ellepots also allow for air pruning.

 What is air pruning?    

A natural process that alerts the plant that it needs to produce more roots. The new roots are thicker and stronger, preventing thinner roots from circling and becoming root-bound, the new stronger, thicker roots provide a larger surface area for the plant to absorb water and nutrients.  How many times have you struggled to remove a root- bound plant from a plastic pot and heard the roots rip? Ellepots give plants a better start, both as they grow in the Ellepot and when planted in the ground.
